Им пройден сложный жизненный путь от рабочего железнодорожных мастерских до генерал-майора м/с, начальника кафедры хирургии усовершенствования врачей №2 Военно-медицинской академии им. С.М. Кирова. Ученик профессора С.П. Фёдорова, он достойно, на всех этапах профессиональной деятельности, представлял школу великого хирурга и учёного.
